FREE OFFERS
1- How will I know which events I can attend for free?
Symposium will email, mail or telephone the principal contact and/or second contact designated when joining the Gold Club with any offers. Current event offers will also be displayed in the Gold Club members area of this website.
2 – How do I book one of the free places?
Depending on how the offer is made (post, email, telephone, website, etc) different means of confirming the offer will natually be required. This will be made clear in the offer information.
3 – I applied for a free place, have I got it?
Free places are made available on a first come first served basis and we encourage you to respond to offers asap to ensure you have a place. However, places are limited and we cannot guarantee you will receive a place at any given event. We will email you and/or write to confirm you place.
4 – I booked a free place, but need to cancel
If you cancel before we have confirmed the place, there is no administration charge. However, once the confirmation has been sent, any cancellations will result in a £145 + VAT charge. You are welcome to send substitutes at any time, but please advise us asap – email gclub@symposium-events.co.uk

6 – We have not used all our free event places this year, can we carry them over to another year?
We are sorry but this is not possible.
7 – We have used all our free event places this year, but there is an event I would really like to attend – can I have another place?
Gold Club members receive discounts on the standard booking rates for most events. If you have already used all your free places, you will only be able to book at this discounted rate.
8 – How do I know if my organisation is a Gold Club member?

DISCOUNTED RATES
1 – How do I book a place at the discounted Gold Club rate?
A username and password is provided to you when you join the Gold Club. In order to get your place at the discounted rate, you will need to add the conference you are interested in to your basket like a standard customer. Once on the basket summary page, simply enter your Gold Club password into the Discount Coupon Code zone. The special rate is now applied on the selected conferences.

Terms and Conditions
Membership Fees
Membership of Symposium Event’s Gold Club costs £949 + VAT and entitles your organisation to the discounts and offers specified in the brochure, on this website and in other marketing materials that may from time to time be issued.
Membership is valid for 12 months from receipt of payment and only events being held in that period may be booked with the membership discounts.
You cannot claim any discounts or benefits before payment has been received. Unless otherwise stated, all discounts and offers are on a stand alone’ basis and cannot be combined with other discounts or offers.
Only the discount or offer claimed at the time a booking is taken will be applied – we cannot change or upgrade offers subsequently.
Variation of Terms
Symposium reserves the right to change and amend the terms of membership and the nature and conditions of any offers relating to the Gold Club at any time.
Event Bookings and Cancellations
The Gold Club fee is non-refunderble. All bookings for free events taken as a part of club membership are free to attend, but are subject to a £145 + VAT fee if the delegate cancels or does not show up.
With regard to the free event places, club membership guarantees your organisation will be offered a place for one employee to attend at least four events (or event days in the case of two day events) per year, but places may be limited at each event and are bookable on a first come, first serve basis. Because of this, we cannot guarantee you attendance at a minimum number of events over the membership year. Member organisations are limited to a maximum of four free places per year.
Bookings for events made using your membership
discount are subject to our standard cancellation terms: full refunds, less £100 + VAT, are paid on cancellations received more than one month prior to the event; the full invoiced fee is payable for cancellations received at less than one month from the event.
Unless otherwise stated or amended here, in addition to these terms, our standard delegate booking terms also apply. These can be found above.
