Mark Griffiths has 11 years of HR and Reward experience having worked at Andersen, Barclays and now the National Trust. He has worked as an HR generalist, reward specialist and is now in a role combining both reward and HR management information as the lead for the National Trust.
Lawrence Knowles joined MidlandHR in 1991, having held a number of roles in technology and research, before being promoted to Managing Director in 2001. Previously he ran a software company developing computer games. Lawrence’s key interests are in exploiting true value in use from technology and innovation.
Jo Mumford is HR Systems Manager for The AA responsible for a variety of HR and payroll applications, ensuring that the HR systems strategy and service supports business, legislative and operational developments. Recent projects have included insourcing pensioners payroll, developing an e-recruitment onboarding solution, designing and rolling out an automated absence solution.
Clinton Wingrove is the EVP and Principal Consultant at Pilat HR Solutions, a recognized thought and market leader of talent management and provider of highly tailored solutions. Clinton’s personal passion is working with organizations to improve individual, unit and enterprise performance through the holistic design of processes, metrics and supporting IT – which when combined, enable individuals to realize their true potential.
Richard Blay has held a number of senior roles in HR consulting, learnng, operations and resourcing. Over the past few years he has specialised in programme management and has successfully delivered a series of major change programmes within HSBC. Since March 2008 he has been leading a project to implement pension changes and introduce flexible benefits to HSBC’s UK businesses (52,000 employees).
Chris Paull is responsible for the HR Shared Services organisation of IHG. In this role Chris investigated ways in which IHG could dramatically reduce the fixed cost associated with the delivery of HR Administration & Payroll services. This directly led to the decision to move to a Business Process Outsource model for the delivery of these services. Recent projects have included the renegotiation of the BPO contracts in the US and the UK and the development of a global reporting and analytics platform.
David Warlow has over 20 years experience of delivering transformational change and operational excellence in a wide variety industries. He is currently with Transport for London delivering a number of major HR systems implementations. Prior which he spent 5 years with Royal Mail delivering the UK’s largest ever HR transformation.
Chris Phillips is Vice President of International Marketing, at talent management company, Taleo. In this role, Mr Phillips is responsible for product marketing, product management and marketing communications throughout Europe and Asia. A graduate of the University of Cambridge, Mr. Phillips brings more than 17 years of marketing leadership experience in the IT industry, having worked in several senior marketing director roles worldwide.
Vanessa Robinson has oversight responsibility for all of the research undertaken by the CIPD. In addition she leads on the research in areas including talent management, recruitment and retention and the changing shape of the HR function. The impacts of technology on effective people management, and in particular the way new social technologies can contribute to higher organisational performance are current areas of research focus.
Jane Glynn started her career with Debenhams working in a variety of Personnel and Training roles in several stores, before moving to Head Office HR. The last 5 years have seen Jane involved in transforming HR within Debenhams from a traditional HR structure to a shared services model, and further consolidation of that model when all operational HR work was transferred to Debenhams Taunton Head Office.
Steve Foster is Head of UK Business Consultancy at NorthgateArinso. He has a background in a range of Human Resources management roles and as a consultant; he has worked with a wide range of major clients, helping them transform their HR operations. His specialist areas are HR business process improvement, e-HRM planning and implementation, business case development, outsourcing and change management. He has worked with a wide a range of HR technologies.
George Smith is a customer champion who has a refreshing way of looking at HR and who it serves. Recent feedback from George’s “Big Idea” series of talks. “Always a great speaker” “Big speech for a Big Idea!” “Can’t wait to take action on my big idea, your speech was inspirational”.
Ian Henderson has worked at Rotherham Metropolitan Borough Council for over 19 years. He has practical experience of a range of Human Resources issues including employee relations, disciplinary and grievance matters. More recently Ian has been working in the Strategic unit focusing on pay and performance issues including job evaluation, the implementation of a new pay and grading structure, equal pay challenges and the development of business intelligence.
Alan Rodgers is a highly proficient technician, experienced in the use of software applications in both the Banking and Local Authority Sectors. His background includes the project management of major transformation initiatives and system migrations. Alan is customer focused, professional and has the ability to explain technical issues without resorting to jargon.
