John Herbert

John Herbert - with degrees in economics and business administration John was exposed in the 1960's to OD and strategic HRM. Ever since his work has been dedicated to aligning the needs of people and business. Following a brief period as an academic, his corporate life has been in electronics, engineering, food drink and tobacco, and financial services, principally in management, OD and learning and development roles. With a focus on managing change and complexity John developed a mastery in experiential leadership development. This has equipped him well for his current role as the architect and Executive Director of the European HR Forum. The EHRF is an independent, international Corporate HR network of over 250 companies, providing a platform for facilitated networking on all aspects of people and organisation strategy and practice - see www.ehrf.org.

Massimo Macarti

Massimo Macarti is Chief of Human Resources for Canon in Europe, which is part of the Canon Global organisation delivering an annual turnover of more than ¥4, 1 trillion. Canon Europe employs about 11,000 people across the EMEA region. Massimo's responsibilities cover this entire region and all the pan-European business units and include all HR related spheres, such as Remuneration and Benefits, Organisational Development, HR Operations, HR Partnership with Business Units. Massimo is focussed on driving HR to become World Class together with developing the HR value proposition to support the business objective of sustaining profitability and growth by developing it's people.

Before the European appointment Massimo spent most of his career in Canon Italia, where initially he held different roles in the Service and Support Area, including Director of Service and Support, with responsibilities over Copier, Printer and Camera Service and Software Support. Subsequently he was appointed Director of Canon Business Solution Marketing, looking after areas like Product Marketing, Channel and Trade Marketing, Marketing Communication for the Business Products (Copier, Printers, Multifunctional Devices, Solutions, etc.).

After that Massimo held responsibilities as Corporate Planning and Communication Director, and Information and Communication Technology Director before being appointed as Director of HR in Italy.
Before joining Canon Massimo had different experiences in consulting, as well as commercial and technical roles in other companies. He holds a Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Politecnico of Milano, Italy.
Massimo is married, with 2 daughters (16 and 14). His wife is University Professor and Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Brescia University (Italy).

Lubos Miskuf

Lubos Miskuf is Head of Human Resources in Siemens Regional Company Czech Republic. Siemens operates over 20 companies and employs 12.000 people in Czech Republic. In his position Mr Miskuf is responsible for HR strategy and HR service management and delivery. 
He is also responsible for regional HR shared services, HR IT applications and Mergers&Acquisition project management in the region.

In his prior position as Senior Executive of Accenture Mr Miskuf was engaged as consultant in major transformational projects with international companies such as Philip Morris, Danone and Ahold in Central and Eastern Europe.

David P Barr

David P Barr is Head of HR Shared Services at Standard Life Group.

David's career has been in the financial services industry both in the UK and overseas, having held positions with RBS, Lloyds TSB and The National Bank of Bahrain before joining Standard Life in 1999.

He has been involved in mergers and major change with particular focus on sustainable performance improvement.

David is a Chartered Banker, Fellow of the Chartered Intitute of Bankers in Scotland and Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. He has a Masters degree in HR and has attended the Harvard Business School Strategic HR Programme.

Mark Judd

Mark Judd is the Director of HR Shared Services for Rolls-Royce plc.

Mark's background is in HR management and shared services.

Previously Mark worked for PwC as Director of HR and Finance shared services. Prior to that he was a management consultant in the field of HR transformation for PwC.

Mark's other HR experience has been with Toyota and Saint-Gobain.

In his current role Mark is building a centre to deliver shared services for the Rolls-Royce plc organisation. This has recently gone live to some of UK 's 23,000 employees.

Gerard Antoine

Gerard Antoine is the VP for Human Resources Development at Volvo Construction Equipment.

He is a HR Business Partner with 20 years of experience in functional as well as operational positions acquired in multicultural environments and international companies in France, Sweden and Belgium. Gerard has strong expertise in cross-cultural management, organizational & people development, coaching and mentoring.

Danny Kalman

Danny Kalman is HR Director for Panasonic Europe and has recently been appointed as Director for Global Talent which will run con-currently with his role in Europe.

Based in the UK , Danny sits on the main board of Panasonic Europe and is actively involved in the overall business strategy which helps him to ensure the HR strategy is aligned correctly.

He has been responsible for developing systems and processes to standardise HR across all Panasonic's European sales and support companies. In addition, he represents the European Region on global HR activities, visiting Japan on a regular basis.

One of Danny's main responsibilities is the identification, development and retention of Panasonic's leaders and establishing a robust succession planning process.

Prior to joining Panasonic he worked in the retail and construction sectors, starting his career in management with Marks and Spenser and then moved into Marketing within another retailing organisation. He moved into an HR role in the mid 1980s; where he feels he found his true vocation.

Tony Campion

Tony Campion is a Senior Human Resources Manager and has 14 years experience in this discipline; a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development. Tony has managed HR functions for several US based Multi-Nationals including Coca-Cola and Motorola before joining Pfizer in 2002. Tony spent several years in an Organisational and Development roles and was involved in several global projects with the Coca-Cola Company in that capacity.

Since his appointment in 2002 Tony has led the Human Resources function at Pfizer's Global Financial Shared Service centre in Dublin which supports Europe and the middle East. In this capacity he has also been involved in the HR aspects of deploying and recruiting personnel in India , South America and Asia.

Dimitri Hovine

Dimitri started his career as external auditor at Arthur Andersen in  1991.

After 3 years he moved to Belgacom (Belgian incumbent telecom operator) where he held different positions throughout the years. His first assignments were in the Finance unit, as internal auditor, then divisional controller and finally as financial director of a customer division.

After spending more than 8 years in Finance, he became responsible for the implementation of the Customer Relationship Management system for a period of 2 years.

In  early 2003, he carried on in the Human Resources department as Compensation & Benefit Director. He became later responsible for the entire HR operations at Belgacom where he implemented the following projects: back sourcing of the payroll, implementation of the HR Customer Relationship Management, the document management and the outplacement of the statutory employees.

In 2007 he decided to take a new challenge as Corporate HR Director at SPE-Luminus, the challenger in the Belgium gas & electricity sector where he takes up the following the challenges: Employer branding, company culture and standardization of payroll.

Charles-Henry Duroyon

Charles-Henry is currently in charge of Global HR Systems & Efficiency  Department for Faurecia, a global Tier 1 automotive supplier based in France. Charles-Henry's missions are covering Strategic Human Resources solution management and worldwide  HR & Payroll shared services coordination in 28 countries. During his career with Faurecia, he has owned and implemented HR new initiatives, enhancement projects and outsourcing programs. Prior to that, he was senior consultant at Taleo in the European Team based in Paris, working on global clients' implementation such as Suez, Faurecia, Dupont, Booz Allen. His education background includes chemincal engineering at UTC Compiegne and a masters in Business Studies. Charles-Henry is both a French and US citizen, he lives in Paris, France.

Tony Hatton-Gore

Tony Hatton-Gore is Director, Head of Remuneration & Benefits, Arup. Global responsibility for reward management and human resources systems.

Recent projects include development and implementation of a number of global reward and systems initiatives to deliver "total reward" and support delivery of the business strategy.

His previous employment includes human resources and information technology roles in major financial organisations. He has been a speaker on reward topics at several conferences.

Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development, postgraduate qualification in environmental planning & design and degree in economics.

Home is in Norfolk and interests include keeping horses and Arsenal Football Club.

Lucas van Wees

Drs L.L.G.M. (Lucas) van Wees MBA MBT (1959) holds an B.Sc in Tourism & Leisure (Breda) and Masters in Social Sciences (Tilburg), Telecommunications
(Delft) in the Netherlands and Business (IMD, Lausanne) in Switzerland. He worked for Philips, Shell and KPN in HR, management and commercial jobs. Since 2001 he is Vice President HR Commercial and Global for KLM which merged mid 2004 with Air France.

Van Wees was co-author or editor for four books and published various international articles a.o. for Personnel Journal, the International Journal of Career Management and the Journal of Management Development. His contribution to a European book, describing HR practices in 13 European countries, is expected to be published in 2008.

He is a member of the Board of the Dutch Association of Personnel Management (NVP) and, on behalf of the NVP, delegate for the European Association of Personnel Management (EAPM). He is chairman of the Jury of the first European HR Award 2009 on which 15 European countries will participate.

Regis Mulot

Régis Mulot joined Levi Strauss Europe in March 2002 as Human Resources Director, Rewards and Services. He was promoted to his current role as Vice President Human Resources in March 2004, adding Community Affairs to his role in July 2005.Régis leads an HR organisation of 60 employees supporting 4300 employees located in 20 European countries.Prior to this, Régis worked for 10 years in Brussels and London as Director, Corporate Human Resources Broadnet Europe (a division of Comcast Corporation), and also held senior HR roles with GTECH Corporation, including the position of HR Director EMEA, Asia & Australia.
R é gis also worked for 5 years in the postal industry as HR manager and Business planning manager in Paris and Brussels .R é gis holds a Masters Degree in Law from the University of Paris Assas , and a Post Graduate Degree in Public Administration from the Universities of Sceaux & Paris Dauphine

Eugenio Soria

After an apprenticeship with Siemens in Spain , Eugenio studied Economics, Organisation and Human Resources at AKAD in Germany .He began his career with Siemens in sales administration in the subsidiary of Valencia . 1980 he took the responsibility of a training area and was appointed 1987 Director for Personnel Policy Siemens Spain. 1987 he joined Siemens Nixdorf in Spain as HR Head for the Spanish Operations. In 1998 he moved to Siemens Headquarter in Munich in charge of Top Management Development for Americas , SBT and the Information and Communication Groups.Since 2002, he is Director for Compensation and Benefits as well as the Management System in Siemens Spain and International Mobility.

Tony Bainbridge

Tony Bainbridge is SVP of HR for Europe Middle East, & Africa for InterContinental Hotels Group based in Windsor , UK .
Prior to joining IHG Tony spent 15 years in consumer products across Europe, and then became Global Head of HR for CIBA Vision, a division of Novartis, based in Atlanta Georgia in 1998. After three years he moved to France to become Directeur General of their French business, and returned to the UK in 2005, becoming HR Director for BOC Edwards.Tony lives outside London and whilst travelling extensively in his role with IHG, finds time to prepare for half marathons and enjoy his family.

Sergio G.Carreda

Sergio G. Caredda is Group Training & Development Manager of the Diesel Group as well as HRIS Project Manager for the Diesel Group. He also is Visiting Professor for Labour Management at the University of Trento . From 2000 to 2004 he worked as human capital consultant for Summit - TMI Italy, developing know-how on Intangibles and Intellectual Capital measurement.
From 2001 to 2004 Sergio was a member of the Advisory Board of the European Research Project PRISM on the intangible economy and has served as a Member of the Board and President of AEGEE - The European Students' Forum.
He is a member of ASTD ( American Society for Training & Development) and has co-written several articles on Intangibles, Intellectual Capital Measurement and Human Capital performance.

Kent Jonansen

Kent Jonasen has been Deputy Head of Group Human Resources since 2003. In that position he has been responsible for Talent Management, Leadership Development, Executive Development and Executive Compensation. The significant amount of his time has over the past two years been on securing a transparent selection and development process for talents just below top 100 level of the organisation. Furthermore, Kent has hands on lead the implementation of a company wide Leadership Pipeline concept that impacts more than 10,000 leaders in more than 100 different countries. Previously to his deputy position Kent was from 2000 to 2003 Regional HR Manager. Before joining HR in A.P. Moller - Maersk in 1996 Kent was employed on the sales side in retail banking for 2 years and investment banking for 3 years. Kent left A.P. Moller - Maersk in April 2008 to start up his own company.

Arjen van Berkum

Arjen van Berkum is Head of Resource Allocation Management of ING . ING is a leading financial services provider serving clients across the world. Arjen has more than 15 years experience in the financial industry in a wide variety of functions from sales, marketing, distirubtion, operations, IT and HR .
Arjen holds master degrees in Mathematics, Business Economics and Political sciences.
•  Arjen has led a large backlog reduction program with a large insurance company (over 600 people). Involving culture change and introducing performance management
•  Arjen has been director of Flexforce and Flex@ING within ING from 2005 till 2007. Flex@ING is an MSP of an outsourcing to Accenture. This included full RPO and on- / offboarding facilities for over 3.000 external staff.
•  Recently he has been employed as Head of Resource Allocation Management, assuming control and end to end responsibility of over 7.000 externall staff in the Netherlands and Europe
