Dispute Resolution & Workplace Mediation
Wednesday, 18th October 2006

Resolving conflicts in the workplace is still one of the biggest new issues to hit HR in over a decade. Acas recently advised employers that targeting more resources at dispute prevention in the workplace, including mediation services, was the most effective way to deal with employee grievances and cut the number of cases going to tribunal. Indeed, with more than two thirds of the UK workforce claiming to have experienced bullying at work, a growing number of companies and individuals across all sectors are engaging in mediation training and skills to handle workplace issues such as bullying, harassment, discrimination or disciplinary hearings.

Nine months after our first dispute resolution conference, this exciting new event asks what in practice does mediation mean for employers today? This conference will bring together key policy makers, leading practitioners, legal experts, and mediation specialists to examine effective dispute resolution processes and explore what leading organisations are already doing in practice to handle or prepare for conflicts in the workplace.
