Traffic Management and Local Government
Controlling Congestion through Road Pricing
Tuesday, 21st February 2006
Congestion is becoming a serious problem and is high on the political agenda. The government’s solution is road pricing. This could both help finance public transport systems and also act as an effective method in reducing traffic congestion.
Changes would be immense if road pricing were introduced: Is the government’s way the only way? This conference will explore the options open to local and transport authorities with keynote industry speakers, government spokesmen, case studies and a host of experts.
This conference will examine important issues and changing policy, including the introduction of the Transport Innovation Fund and the effects road pricing has had in London and Durham.
