Employers & Childcare
Implementing the New Childcare Tax Exemptions
Wednesday, 15th June 2005

Introduction

The new tax exemptions for employer- funded childcare represent the biggest change in employer-funded childcare for 15 years. From 6 th April 2005, Childcare Vouchers became Tax and National Insurance exempt up to £50 per week. Employers can save around £300 per year for each employee choosing Childcare Vouchers, whilst all employees with childcare costs can save up to £1,066 per year.

A cost neutral, tax efficient childcare benefit is now a simple and obvious option for all employers - large and small. Employees across the UK will be expecting their HR departments to offer tax-free childcare schemes - make sure your organisation is ready!

This conference will combine an analysis of the latest tax and payroll issues, together with a description of the practical childcare and salary sacrifice solutions available to all employers. This unique event brings together the UK's leading childcare experts, consultants and suppliers, and presents case studies from employers who have set up schemes themselves.

4Children is the national charity dedicated to creating opportunities for all children, parents and communities. 4Children helped shape the Government's National Childcare Strategy, which has resulted in major investment in childcare places, enabling thousands of parents to work or take up training, by providing access to high quality, affordable childcare.

New tax arrangements, from April 2005, are making it more cost effective for employers to support childcare for their staff. Drawing on almost 20 years of experience of working with employers and their partners 4Children helps organisations to maximise opportunities to provide the support that parents need.
