Absence Management
Tackling the sick note epidemic
Wednesday, 22nd June 2005
Introduction
The effective management of sickness absence is now one of the most important issues on the HR agenda. In some industry sectors the costs of absence can be as much as 23% of payroll.
This timely and focused conference will combine a thorough analysis of the latest legal and regulatory issues, together with a focus on the roles of occupational health, insurance providers and a review of the practical absence management products and solutions now available to employers.
In particular, this unique event will provide the HR profession with an update on the important and controversial DWP review of the current "sick-note" system. The BMA, who have expressed concerns about a change in role for GPs, will respond to the DWP proposals. The conference will also include an update on HSE's latest work in this area.
